require~ent. A full water supp~y would therefore be about 9750 AF
per year.

From .Table IV-A the average yearly release from Summit
Reservoir was about 5000 AF res~lting in an average supply of
about 50%. In 1982 there was an 80% supply and in 1977 there was
essentially no supply. The safe yield of 3700 AF is about a 38%
supply.

Water Quality

There are minimal water quality concerns associ~ted with the
reservoir. The water diverted to the reservoir is from fairly
high. elevation areas that do not drain any mining operations'or
towns. The, health department considers Summit Reservoir a pris-
tine fishery. The only potential problems have been with septic
systems being too close to the reservoir and all of these instances
have been corrected. No water quality analysis has been performed
because there are no potential problems.

-17-
