_. _... ......... VQ,.'" ,('44. .JV..H";O~O~4 .MAK'.flN ANV WUOD WATER

may also notice the decrease in :Fremont Coun ty Ditcl1 shares from 26
shares in 200s, to 2S shares In 2010. This occurs due to the first-time
need for Union Ditch shares in 2010, for winter requirements, and
becaUllll the 75 shares of Union Ditch will abo provide water in the
summer, which rcdUCC8 the number of Fremont County Ditch shares
needed from the 26 shares needed for year 2005.

4. Town ofWjJ]iamsbUI'l

Williamsburg's acquisition of 140 shares of Union Ditch will adequately
supply the Town through year 2010. Shortly aftu 2010, Williamsburg
will need an additional water supp1y(ie8). If Williamsburl ,were to
acquire Union Ditch shares only, the Town would need 33 Union Ditch
shares by year 2015. and 27:1 shares by year 2040, as shown in Table 6.

Intecestingly in regard to acquisition of a combination of Union Ditch
and Fremont Count:; Ditch ~a.tes, the Town's 140 shares of 'Union
Ditch are adequate through the year 2035, if the Town begins acquisition
of!l shares of Fremont County Ditch by 2015, and eventually acquires
43 Fremont County Ditch shares by the year 2035. However, for year
2040 requirements. Williamsburg will ultimately need 7 Union Ditch
sharc.s in addition to the 140 shares that the Town now owns, and 49
Fremont County Ditch shares.

5. Town of Roekvale

Rockvale's W.H. May Ditch rights, based on historicm and pieced-
together records of historical diversions, will provide an adequate supply
through the year 2010. This conclusion rests on the assumption that the
Town win allocate 1 cfs of the ~ diversions (not the wclls'
diveuions) fur inigation of the Town Field,

Immediately after the year 2010, the Town could bc&in lo acquire Union
Ditch shares alone, ncedin& 6 shares by )'tat 2015, and 72 shares by
yw 2040, as shown in Table 7,

Alternatively. and because Rockvllle's wells will provide an adequate
supply in the winter, thus necessltatini no need for additional Union
Ditch shares if Fremont County Ditch shares arc acquired, the Town
could acquire 2 Fremont County Ditch shares by year 2015, and 21
Fremont County Ditch shares by year 2030.

13

Ii!IOOS/015
