<br />, <br />/ <br />/ <br /> <br />The pressure at the source in Trinidad mains <br /> <br />is reported to be 105 psi. Design criteria <br /> <br /> <br />should provide adequate water supply and fire <br /> <br /> <br />protection. Materials specified should meet <br /> <br />ASTM and AWWA standard specifications through- <br />out and the system should be installed according <br />to good and accepted practices applicable to <br /> <br />the area. The City of Trinidad design ~riteria <br /> <br />and standard specifications should be used as a <br /> <br />guideline for this project. However, use of <br /> <br />materials other than ductile iron pipe should <br /> <br />be considered. Difference in cost of acceptable <br /> <br />pipeline materials is small in proportion to <br />total construction costs for the project, but <br /> <br />must be taken into account due to limited <br /> <br />funds available. Inflation has taken its toll, <br /> <br />and funds available from the Water Conservation <br /> <br />Board with an equal grant will provide a water <br /> <br />supply to Starkville, but it may be necessary <br />to utilize some of the present distribution <br /> <br />and storage system. In any event, the supply <br />and distribution system should meet anticipated <br />needs up to the year 2000 plus fire protection <br /> <br />supply and storage capacities.
