Therefore, this upgrade is currently being undertaken by the Town this construction season. For purposes of this analysis, an allowance of $35,000 is being made for the upgrade of the presedimentation basin. This upgrade will allow the presedimentation basin to function adequately throughout both phases of the treatment plant expansion. Cost Summary The following table has been prepared to summarize the costs for the various plant expansion phases. The following should be noted: 1 . There are no finance carrying costs associated with any of the figures. 2. The figures are expressed in 1994 costs. In order for these figures to accurately reflect cost per unit at the time the expansions are made, the per unit costs would need to be increased at the approximate rate of inflation or increase in annual costs for the improvements to be made.
