<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />2.4). Design plan map. This map will be developed, using actual field data, during the Design <br />Plan survey. It will show the stream bank, flood prone area, bankfull, riffle/pool relationship, <br />alluvial valley, entrenchment ratio and stream slopes for each segment. <br />Three sets of maps will be provided this includes: <br />1) Maps of the existing channel prior to construction. <br />2) Design plan maps of the stream <br />3) Certified as built maps of the new constructed stream alignment. <br /> <br />Total Cost: Included in Goal 1, Objective 2, Task 1. <br /> <br />2.5). Review and digitize historic maps and aerial photographs from NRCS archives. This <br />will enable the project to analyze changes in river migration, riparian vegetation, and land <br />use. <br /> <br />Unit Costs: (Based on Agro. Engineering) purchase photos $700.00. Scanning; <br />$1,100.00. Georeferenceing; $2,600.00. Analyze data; $1,800.00. Total cost: <br />$6,200.00 <br /> <br />Product: Maps. <br />TOTAL MAPPING COST: $13,360.00 FUNDING SOURCE: $3,320.00 in-kind (Agro <br />Engineering), $9,840.00 (CWCB), and $200.00 (319). <br /> <br />OBJECTIVE 2: In-Field Monitoring. Install monitoring equipment and begin monitoring phase <br />of the project. <br /> <br />TASK 1: Purchase and install monitoring equipment at designated sites. <br /> <br />Purchase includes: <br />Water level indicator. $500.00 in-kind (Alamosa RiverKeeper R), Film, paper and misc. <br />$500.00. <br /> <br />Product: Equipment installation. <br />TOTAL COST: $1,000.00. FUNDING SOURCE: $500.00 in-kind (Alamosa <br />RiverKeeper R) $300.00 in-kind (CWCB), and $200.00 (319). <br /> <br />TASK 2. Monitor the vegetation transects created before and during the restoration effort. <br /> <br />This involves; <br />4.1) Monitoring the re-growth of vegetation in treated areas by comparing treated and <br />untreated (andlor minimally vegetated) sites to determine the efficiency of grazing <br />management strategies. There will be 1 transect per property owner totaling 30 transects for <br />the eight mile section. Several transects will be located on non-restored reaches for <br />comparison. Monitoring will be conducted once a year during the month of August. It is <br />estimated that this will take 15 days (ten field days and 5 days for data manipulation). <br /> <br />Page -17- <br />
