<br />(v) the purification and use of all
<br />brackish water so that such water may be
<br />and effectively used for lawful purposes.

<br />(b) Develop, obtain, adjudicate, and deliver to and
<br />otherwise provide protection for its members by
<br />augmentation or other water supplies.
<br />
<br />(c) Acquire by appropriation or otherwise, and to lease,
<br />sell or dispose of water rights, filings on water rights,
<br />or other water supplies for any and all beneficial
<br />purposes; to protect all water rights, filings on water
<br />rights, other water supplies, for the interests of AGUA,
<br />through any and all legal or other proceedings including,
<br />but not limited to opposing other water rights
<br />applications.
<br />
<br />(d) Acquire, develop and operate a permanent water
<br />supply, including but not limited to, a supply provided
<br />or protected pursuant to a plan for augmentation and/or
<br />a substitute supply plan; to dig, bore, drill, or
<br />otherwise excavate wells and tunnels; to construct,
<br />acquire and operate pumping plants, water storage,
<br />diversion and distribution systems, recharge facilities;
<br />to acquire, construct, maintain and operate a system for
<br />the diversion, supply, storage and distribution of water
<br />to its members, or for the benefit of its members, for
<br />beneficial purposes within the area served by AGUA.
<br />
<br />(e) Enter into all necessary contracts, to make any and
<br />all reports, to conduct or participate in all necessary
<br />experiments, to compile data, to employ personnel,
<br />including engineers, attorneys, and other consultants,
<br />and to do each and every thing necessary or advisable to
<br />advance the purposes of AGUA.
<br />
<br />(f) Rent, lease, own, exchange, construct, remodel,
<br />repair, purchase, hold, mortgage, sell, transfer, trade,
<br />loan, and to otherwise have, use and dispose of each and
<br />every item of personal or real property which may be
<br />necessary or desirable in the conduct of the affairs, or
<br />to achieve the purposes of AGUA.
<br />
<br />(g) Borrow money for the use of AGUA, to issue
<br />securities therefor, and to pledge, mortgage,
<br />hypothecate, and otherwise dispose of the real, personal,
<br />and intangible property of the AGUA as security therefor.
