<br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />Chapter IX - Remaining Augmentation Requirements <br /> <br />The purchase of 1,007 shares of Excelsior Ditch water will, on an average basis, yield approximately <br /> <br /> <br />752 acre-feet of augmentation replacement credits between March and November of each year. <br /> <br /> <br />AGUA's estimated annual future well head replacement requirements are 8,933 acre-feet, of which <br /> <br /> <br />224 acre-feet are on the Arkansas River above Pueblo Reservoir, 713 acre-feet are on Fountain Creek, <br /> <br /> <br />and 7,996 acre-feet are on the Arkansas River below Pueblo Reservoir. The 752 acre-feet of Excelsior <br /> <br /> <br />Ditch water will reduce the total remaining augmentation requirement to 8,181 acre-feet and reduce <br /> <br /> <br />the Arkansas River below Pueblo Reservoir augmentation requirement to 7,244 acre-feet. <br /> <br />Table IX-1 summarizes AGUA's average monthly future replacement requirements on the Arkansas <br /> <br /> <br />River below Pueblo Reservoir and average monthly Excelsior Ditch replacement credits. Comparing <br /> <br /> <br />the monthly replacement credits to the monthly allgmentation requirements in this reach of the <br /> <br /> <br />Arkansas River, shows that on an average basis, all of the Excelsior Ditch credits can be used to reduce <br /> <br /> <br />the augmentation requirements. <br /> <br />-46- <br />
