<br />DIVISION 1 - GENERAL REQUIREMENTS <br /> <br />SECTION 01010 - SUMMARY OF WORK <br /> <br />PART 1. WORK COVERED <br /> <br />PHASE 1 WORK <br /> <br />1.01 MOBiliZATiON <br /> <br />Furnish at the job site all equipment, facilities, and materials required to complete the described tunnel <br />rehabilitation work and all appurtenance facilities. Includes move in, move out, all bonds and insurance, and <br />staging area preparation. <br /> <br />EASTERN TUNNEL <br /> <br />V 1.02 ACCESS ROAD <br /> <br />Furnish all equipment, labor, and materials required to improve approximately 2,500 lineal feet of access road to <br />the east tunnel portal. Work will include removing an estimated 30 trees of less than 8" caliper, installing 12 feet <br />of 18" diameter reinforced concrete culvert with flared end section, replacing an existing 8" diameter CMP <br />culvert, placing 4" of road base in 12' wide roadway, placing Jersey barriers on trail up to portal, and providing <br />necessary silt fence and straw bail erosion protection. Approximately 400 yards' of road base is to be excavated <br />from the top of the muck piie at the east tunnel portai as directed by the Engineer. <br /> <br />1.03 EASTERN PORTAL <br /> <br />Furnish ail equipment, labor, and materials required to enlarge, improve, and stabilize eastern tunnel portal for <br />safety and the equipment access required for the underground work. The Contractor shall submit shop drawings <br />detailing the proposed portal improvements. The work may include, but is not limited to, the following items: <br />scaling, rock reinforcement, shotcrete, steel ribs/lagging, temporary timber canopy. <br /> <br />1.04 CONCRETE INVERT AND PERMANENT RAIL <br /> <br />Furnish all equipment, labor, and materials required to place approximately 2,000 linear feet of concrete invert <br />and permanent rail extending from the eastern portal to Station 20+00. The work will include all required <br />preparation and cleaning of 2,000 lineal feet of invert, hauling and placement of approximately 450 yards' of <br />fiber reinforced conventional concrete, and installation of 2,000 iineal feet of rail compatible with the <br />Contractor's equipment and underground work plan. <br /> <br />1.05 TEMPORARY RAIL EAST <br /> <br />Furnish all equipment, labor, and materials required to install approximately 3.333 lineal feet of temporary raii <br />extending from Station 20 + 00 through the caved section at Station 53 + 33. The work includes all ties, rails, <br />blocking, and shims necessary for a complete installation. <br /> <br />1.06 REMINE TiMBER SECTION <br /> <br />Furnish ail equipment, labor, and materials to remove existing timber support and remine 25 lineal feet of tunnel <br />from approximately Station 14 + 26 to Station 14 + 51. The work includes drilling up to 100 lineal feet of probe <br />holes to assess rock conditions, providing and installing approximately 8 steel ribs with al\ 'equi,etI spiling, <br />lagging, cribbing, clamps, foot blocks, tie rods, and all accessories; and removing associated muck. <br /> <br />10/00 <br /> <br />Section 01010.
