After exten-
sive investigations, it was determined that Ferncliff should probably not be
included within the District boundaries. The basic reason is that the dif-
ference in elevation and water source criteria indicated that a joint water
system would not be necessary or practical. It is planned, however, that
the Allenspark District sewage treatment plant would also serve Ferncliff.

An approximate building survey was conducted in order to determine service

needs and potential customer counts for economic studies. To facilitate

economic analyses, the term EQR (Equivalent Residential Unit) will be used.

Using this method, the single-family detached residence is considered the

basic tap unit. Other types of users are then equated to a single-family

residence. From experience with similar areas, a reasonably equitable schedule,

which has been used in this study, is given following:

o

TABLE III-A
RECOMMENDED EQUIVALENT UNIT SCHEDULE
Customer Description

EQR Un i ts

Seasonal

Single-Family Residence

Restaurants, per 25 seating capacity

Motels & Cabin units
1 bedroom, no cooking
I bedroom, plus kitchen
2 bedrooms
3 bedrooms

Filling Stations w/o wash rack
Extra for wash rack

1.0
1.0

0.25
0.40
0.75
1.0
0.25
0.5

(Other categories needed for special customers
church, school, government building)

All Year

Multiply above values by

1.25

,
