F. Water Quality Evaluation
This work task will consist of evaluation of the water quality data

derived from the various sources and including some additional tests that

may be necessary. The evaluation will address the water quality aspects as

it affects projected facilities or water service in relationship to what type

of treatment and related costs would be required for potable use. Particular

attention will be focused on the nitrate problem. The state and federal

water quality standards will be utilized as objective norms for the potable

water service. This work item will be coordinated closely with the source

evaluation.

G. Economic and Financial Evaluation

Thi s work item will consi st of the e,va 1 uati on of any proposed

improvement costs and will include the operat.ion, maintenance, and replacement

costs. The amount required for an emergency operating fund will also be

.established based upon the guidelines of the CWCB. In addition, the ability

of the town to reimburse the CWCB for any construction funds will be

detennined from the financial data provided by the town.
