<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />ARTICLE XV <br /> <br />SUPERINTENDENT <br /> <br />Section 1. A superintendent shall be appointed by <br /> <br />the Board of Directors, who shall have the direct management <br /> <br />of the irrigation system of the company and his compensation <br /> <br />fixed at such reasonable amount as the Board may agree upon. <br /> <br />He shall direct the division of the water from the canal pro <br /> <br />rata on all shares issued and entitled to be issued, and make <br /> <br />correct return tG the Board of Directors of all persons hired <br /> <br />and employed on the canal or elsewhere, in the interests and <br /> <br />on behalf of the company, with a statement of their wages; and <br /> <br />to perform such other duties as the Board of Directors may direct. <br />Section 2. In times of scarcity of water, the Superin- <br /> <br />tendent may, when there is not enough water to supply the stock- <br /> <br />holders, acting under the direction of the Board of Directors, <br /> <br />deliver the water to certain stockholders during certain days <br /> <br />of the week and at other times to the other stockholders, pro- <br /> <br /> <br />vided that he is to treat all stockholders, fairly in the <br /> <br />distribution of water. <br /> <br />Section 3. The Superintendent is authorized and directed <br /> <br />to take immediate action for the prosecution of any person or <br /> <br />corporation altering or in any way interfering with any head- <br /> <br />gate on the canal system of the Company after the same has been <br /> <br />fixed by the Superintendent or Ditch Riders of the Company, <br />. <br />and notice posted thereon that the headgate has been set by <br /> <br />such Superintendent or Ditch Rider. <br /> <br />ARTICLE XVI <br /> <br />SALARIES <br /> <br />Section 1. The Superintendent of the Company, Ditch <br /> <br />Riders and other employees shall receive such compensation as <br /> <br />may be determined upon by the Board of Directors. <br /> <br />-lO~ <br /> <br />10 <br />
