But August rains did
eventually come in time to finish all crops.

Key projects for the year were:

1. Repair of two leaks in mainstem pipelines.

2. Testing and cleaning of ditches constructed in 1993. A
settling pond was constructed in the middle reach of the middle
ditch to allow for silt trapping.

3. The filtration ponds were enlarged, with addition of a pre-
filtering pond with a gravel groin to remove silt from Cotton
Creek before it enters the filtration units.
, .

4. Two additional filtration units were installed to supply water
to new pipelines to be constructed in early 1995;

5. Creek cleaning and construction of a winter ice ditch.

S ince~1Y , _________-'
I I /L-~
. L'
John C;/' Mattingly
Manager, Cotton Creek Water Company
