<br />30 <br /> <br />There are 35 holdings out of the 258 in which individual or JOint owner- <br />ship exceeds 160 acres per person. The total acreage of irrigated iand heing <br />held in excess of the l60-acre 1 imitation and to which interest must be charged <br />is 5,893.6, or 15.75 percent of the total land irrigated. It is not anticipated <br />that any material change in this acreage will occur in the near future. <br /> <br />RIGHTS-OF-WAY <br /> <br />The Company is presently acquirIng a special use permit for additional <br />extension of Long Draw Reservoir from the United States Forest Service. The <br />permit will be issued by the U. S. Forest Service. No new rights of way are <br />required for the Grand River Ditch. <br /> <br />The present reservoir was constructed without a special use permit under <br />authority given by a letter from the U. S. Department of Agriculture dated <br />August 5, 1927. In addition. on July 22, 1927 the First Assistant Secretary <br />of the Interior approved the fi ling map for the reservoir. The Grand River <br />Ditch existed before the formation of the Rocky Mountain National Park, and <br />the Ditch r~ght~of way is permitted under the Act of Congress which created <br />the Park. A second Act of Congress provided additional right of way. <br /> <br />
