<br />Hydrologic Data

<br />After receiving the cooperating agency's biologic recommendation, the CWCB staff conducted
<br />an evaluation of the stream hydrology to determine if water was physically available for an
<br />instream flow appropriation. The hydro graph below was derived from data collected by the
<br />USGS stream gage for the South Fork of Williams Fork near Pagoda, CO (ill #09249200),
<br />which has a drainage area of 46.7 square miles (See Gage Summary in Appendix C). The total
<br />drainage area of the Big Beaver Creek Drainage upstream of East Beaver Creek is approximately
<br />14.1 square miles. The period of record for this gage was 1965 to 1979, the period of record
<br />used by staff in their analysis was 1965 to 1979, or 14 years of record. Table 2 below displays
<br />the estimated flow of Big Beaver Creek upstream of East Beaver Creek, in terms of a percentage
<br />of exceedence.

<br />Table 2 shows that the summer/winter recommendation of 2.9 cfs is only available April 1 st
<br />through July 14th. The summer/winter recommendation was further reduced to 1.0 cfs July 15th
<br />through March 31 S\ based on limited water availability.

<br />Precipitation Data
<br />Staff reviewed local precipitation data sets from 2 different sites located around the Big Beaver
<br />Creek Drainage (see Precipitation Data in Appendix C). These sites include Meeker 3W and
