Sections
of the creek which flow through public lands support a natural environment for
self-sustaining populations of brown trout, brook trout, white suckers, and
dace. Our data analysis, coordinated with the Division of Wildlife, indicates
that the following flows are required to protect the fishery and natural
environment to a reasonable degree:

Reach Number 1 - Barnard Creek to Biah Creek

6.0 cfs is needed to meet all three instream flow criteria and is
therefore recommended for the high temperature period from April 1
through October 31. This flow recommendation is driven by the 50
percent wetted perimeter criteria.

2.5 cfs is needed to meet two instream flow criteria and is therefore
recommended to protect the over-wintering fish population from November
1 through March 31.

Reach Number 2 - Hich Creek to Cri~Dle Creek

7.0 cfs is needed to meet all three instream flow criteria and is
therefore recommended for the high temperature period from April 1
through October 31. This flow recommendation is driven by the 50
percent wetted perimeter criteria.

2.5 cfs is needed to meet two instream flow criteria and is therefore
recommended to protect the over-wintering fish population from
November 1 through March 31.

Reach Number 3 - Wilson Creek A to Wilson Creek B

13.0 cfs is needed to meet all three instream flow criteria and is
therefore recommended for the high temperature period from April 1 to
October 31. This flow recommendation is driven by the 1.0 foot/second
average velocity criteria.
