USGS stream gage for Catamount Creek near Burns, CO (ID #09060900), which has a drainage
area of 5.3 square miles (See Gage Summary in Appendix C). The total drainage area of the
Horse Creek Drainage is approximately 9.3 square miles. The period of record for this gage was
1955 to 1961, the period of record used by staff in their analysis was 1955 to 1961, or 6 years of
record. Table 2 below displays the estimated flow of Horse Creek (Table 2), in terms of a
percentage of exceedence.

Table 2 above shows that the summer recommendation of 0.95 cfs is available for the months of
April through August. The winter recommendation was reduced to 0.5 cfs September through
March based on limited water availability.
