The summer flow recommendation was reduced to 2.7 cfs for the time
period of July I through July 31 and to 2.5 from March I through March 31 based on limited
water availability. The winter flow recommendation of 1.2 cfs is not available at least 50% of
the time and was further reduced to 1.I cfs for the period of August I to February 28 based on
limited water availability.

Precipitation Data
Staff reviewed local precipitation data sets from two sites located around the Escalante Creek
Drainage (see Precipitation Data in Appendix C). Table 3 shows the water year and the percent
of average precipitation recorded at each site. It is staffs opinion that the 14 years of stream-
flow data analyzed is representative of average water-years.

T bl 3 P

D

fA

a e reclpltatIon ata as a percentage 0 verage
Elevation = 5120 Elevation = 5830
Lat 38 45 00 Lat 38 29 00
Long 1080400 Long 107 53 00
Year DELTA MONTROSE NO 2
1976 Not Available 75%
1977 88% 78%
1978 Not Available 98%
1979 Not Available 89%
1980 111% 96%
1981 90% 95%

- 5 -
