East Fork Sheep Creek, tributary to the Cache La
Poudre River.

4. Legal description of the stream segment through which
the instream flow is claimed:

The natural stream channel from the headwaters in the
vicinity of lat. 40 deg. 37'26"N long. l05 deg.
41'21"W as the upstJ::'eam terminus and extending to the
confluence 'with an qnnamed tributary at lat. 40 deg.
38'56"N, long. 105 Qeg. 44'25"W as the downstream
terminus being a di~tance of approximately 3.7 miles.
This segment can be located on the Comanche Peak and
Kinikinik U.S.G.S. quadrangle(s).

Administration: FoJ::' the stream segment(s) in an
unsurveyed area, th~ Division Engineer has determined
for administrative Durposes that the approximate
legal description ot the instream flow termini as
protracted from U.S,G.S. mapping is as follows:
upstream terminus in the NW/4 sec. 34 T8N, R74W 6th
P.M.; downstream terminus in the SE/4 NW/4 sec. 19
T8N R74W 6th P.M.

5. Use of the water:

For instream flows to preserve the natural environ-
ment to a reasonable degree.

6. Date of initiation of appropriation:

December ll, 1987.

7. The water was first a~plied to the above stated benefi-
cial use on December ll, 1987, by action of the Colorado Water
Conservation Board under the provisions of Sections 37-92-102(3),
37-92-103(3), (4), and (lO), C.ll..S. (1990 Repl. Vol. l5).

8. Amount of water claimed:

3.0 c.f.s. (April 1 - Sept. 30) i 1.0 c.f.s. (oct. 1 -
Mar. 31), all absolute.

The Referee finds that this application should be granted,
and an absolute decree for 3.0 c.f.s. (April 1 - Sept. 30), l.O
c.f.s. (Oct. 1 - Mar. 30) is hereby awarded for the purpose of
