<br />Draft 4 <br /> <br />Floodplain DeI1elopnent Permit - An official docl.DIIent required by section <br />of these regulations for developnent in a area of special flood <br />hazard as defined hereunder. <br /> <br />Floodproofing - Any combination of structural and nonstructural <br />additions, changes, or adjustments to structures which reduce or eliminate <br />flood damage to real estate or improved real property, water and sanitary <br />facilities, and the structures and their contents. <br /> <br />Floodwqy - The channel of a river or other watercourse and the adjacent <br />land areas that must be reserved in order to discharge the base flood <br />without cumulatively increasing the water surface elevation IIIOre than one <br />(1) foot. <br /> <br />Hi gl'lest lIiljacent Grade - Ileans the highest natural elevation of the <br />ground surface prior to construction next to the proposed wall of a <br />structure. <br /> <br />Mobile Hane - A structure, transportable in one or IIIOre sections, which <br />is built on a permanent chassis, and is designed for use with or without a <br />permanent foundation when connected to the required utilities. This term <br />does not include recreational vehicles or travel trailers. <br /> <br />New Construction - Structures for which the "Start of Construction" <br />commenced on or after the adoption of floodplain regulations by the Town. <br /> <br />New Mobile Heme Park or Mobil e Hane Sllbdivision - A parcel or contiguous <br />parcels of land divided into two or IIIOre IIIObile bane lots for rent or sale <br />for which the construction of facilities for servicing the lot including, at <br />a minillJJlll, the installation of utilities, either final site grading or the <br />pouring of concrete pads, and the construction of streets, is not completed <br />on or after the adoption of floodplain regulations by the Town of Frisco. <br /> <br />Nonconforming Structures - Any structure which does not comply with the <br />terms and provisions of these regulations but which was in existence or for <br />which construction had started upon the adoption of floodplain regulations <br />by the Town. <br /> <br />Nonconforming Use - Any use or activity which does not comply with the <br />use requirements of these regulations but which was in existence upon <br />adoption of floodplain regulations by the Town. <br /> <br />Cbstrllction - Any developnent, stockpile, refuse, or matter in, along, <br />across, or projecting into any floodplain which might impede, retard, or <br />change the direction of a flow of water, either by itself or by catching or <br />collecting debris carried by such water. <br /> <br />Permit Allthority - The Board of Trustees of the Town of Frisco, <br />Colorado. <br /> <br />Page 7 <br />
