<br />Draft 4 <br /> <br />Section 8. <br /> <br />Mninistration. <br /> <br />8.1 <br /> <br />Est'lhl ishment of Developnent ~rmit. A developnent <br />Permit shall be obtained before construction or <br />developnent begins within any area of Special Flood <br />Hazards. Application for a Developnent Permit shall be <br />made on forms furnished by the Comm.mity Services <br />Deputment and shall include, but not be limited to: <br /> <br />Plans in duplicate drawn to scale showing the nature, <br />location, dirensions, and elevations of the area in <br />question: existing or proposed structures, fill, storage <br />of materials, drainage facilities: and the location of <br />the foregoing. <br /> <br />Specifically, the following information is required: <br /> <br />a. Elevation in relation to rean sea level of the <br />lowest floor including basement of all structures. <br /> <br />b. Elevation in relation to rean sea level to which any <br />structure has been floodproofed. <br /> <br />c. Certification by a registered professional engineer <br />or architect that the floodproofing methods for a <br />non-residential structure meet the floodproofing <br />criteria. <br /> <br />d. Description of the extent to which any watercourse <br />will be altered or relocated as a result of proposed <br />developnent. <br /> <br />The Mministrator reviewing the pennit application may <br />require additional information, depending upon the scope <br />of developnent and construction as well as the specific <br />location within the floodplain. Specifically, the <br />Mninistrator may require detailed plans regarding: site <br />sp:!cific analysis, both natural and rnanrnade: existing and <br />proposed roads, puking, and open spice: grading plan: <br />utility plan: landscaping plan: and any other information <br />deaned necessary by the Administrator. <br /> <br />8.2 Designation of the Administrator. The Town Board of <br />Trustees shall appoint the Comm.mity Services Director, <br />who may designate the Zoning Mninistrator, as the <br />Floodplain Mninistrator who shall implanent this <br />ordinance by granting or denying developnent permit <br />applications in accordance with its provisions. In the <br />absence of a Floodplain Mninistrator, the Town Board of <br />Trustees, with assistance fran the Town Clerk, shall <br />perform all the necessary duties. <br /> <br />Page 17 <br />
