<br />WHEREAS, the detailed floodplain information contained in said report for Little Dry <br />Creek is inconsistent with the detailed and approximate information contained in Resolution No. tit <br />93-348, due to new and updated hydrologic analyses, the construction of flood control <br />improvements and new and updated hydraulic analyses; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the detailed and approximate floodplain information contained in said report <br />for the South Platte River is considered to be superseded by the detailed floodplain information <br />contained in Resolution No. 251 and the detailed and approximate floodplain information contained <br />in Resolutions Nos. 93-348 and 98-478; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the detailed floodplain information contained in said report for Big Dry Creek <br />is considered to be superseded by the detailed floodplain information contained in Resolution No. <br />97-448; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the detailed floodplain information contained in said report for uttle Dry <br />Creek is considered to be superseded by the detailed and approximate floodplain information <br />contained in Resolution No. 93-348; and <br /> <br />LOCAL REOUEST FOR OFFICIAL ACTION BY THE CWCB <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Englewood has requested the Colorado Water Conservation Board <br />to take official action on the detailed and approximate floodplain information in said report; and tit <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Englewood has requested that the Colorado Water Conservation <br />Board leave that portion of the designation and approval of the Rood Insurance Study dated March <br />14, 1991 by Resolution No. 93-348 pertaining to Little Dry Creek and the South Platte River fully <br />in force; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Englewood has not requested that the Colorado Water <br />Conservation Board rescind the designation and approval of the Flood Hazard Area Delineation <br />dated September 1985 by Resolution No. 251 and the Flood Hazard Area Delineation dated <br />November 1996 by Resolution No. 97-448; and <br /> <br />c.R.S AUTHORITY <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1)(c), Colorado Revised Statutes, requires the Colorado <br />Water Conservation Board to assist in the prevention of floods and flood damages therefrom; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Sections 31-23-301 and 30-28-111, Colorado Revised Statutes, provide that <br />legislative bodies of local jurisdictions may provide zoning regulations for land uses on or along <br />any storm or floodwater runoff channel or basin only after designation and approval by the <br />Colorado Water Conservation Board; and <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />4 <br />
