<br />WHEREAS, section 37-60-106(1)(c), Colorado Revised Statutes <br />1973, directs the Colorado Water Conservation Board to des ignate <br />and approve storm or floodwater runoff channels or basins and to <br />make such designations available to legislative bodies of local <br />jurisdictions; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the staff of the Board has reviewed said revised <br />information and data and does hereby recommend to the Colorado <br />Water Conservation Board that the Board designate and approve as <br />floodplain areas those areas inundated by a lOO-year flood <br />(intermediate regional flood) as described by the floodwater <br />surface elevations and profiles in said neN report, and further <br />recommends that the floodplain designation for only that same <br />portion of the Pawnee Creek Overflow described in "Flood Plain <br />Information, South Platte River and Pawnee Creek, Sterling, <br />Colorado," as approved by Resolution No. 147, adopted December 5, <br />1979, be rescinded; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RBSOLVED by the Colorado Water <br />Conservation Board in regular meeting assembled in Denver, <br />Colorado, this 7th day of July, 1983, that it does hereby desig- <br />nate and approve as floodplain areas those areas described as <br />being inundated by a lOO~year f:lood as described by the flood- <br />water surface elevations and prclfiles in said neN report, dated <br />May, 1983, and does hereby rescind that said portion of <br />Resolution No. 147, dated Decemb~r 5, 1979; and <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Board is <br />directed to send a certified COPy of this resolution to the City <br />of Sterling; the Board of Count1 Commissioners of Logan County; <br />the United States Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha Disrict; and the <br />Federal Emergency Management Agency. <br /> <br />C E R TIt I C ~ T E <br /> <br />I certify that the foregoing is a true and correct copy of a <br />resolution adopted by a majori.ty vote of the rremoers of the <br />Colorado Water Conservation Board in regular session assembled at <br />Denver, Colorado, on the 7th day of July, 1983, at which a quorum <br />was present. <br /> <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />William McDonald, Secretary <br /> <br />
