Evans
Jeff Kahn, Grant,' Bernard, etc.
Tracey Reynolds, Ft. Lupton
Dick Lyons, Grant; Bernard, etc.
Dallas Greenfield, Evans Attorney
Absent, Doyle Karsch, LaSalle

Gary Suiter has been assigned as Lead Person for this study. Questions, etc.
should be addressed to him.

Don Sandoval explained that the Proposal, Statement of Qualifications, Detailed
Scope of Services, and Cost Estimate would all be attached to and become part of
the contract with the 6 Towns.

Bob Thoreson reviewed the letter forwarded prior to this meeting -- noting that
certain areas of study should be emphasized and others de-emphasized. In par-
ticular, the status quo option should receive limited attention, as should
water service from shallow aquifers. Considerable work has been done on these
two sources already, and all that is desired in this study is an overview.
Thus, the amount of effort ascribed to water quality analyses and treatment pro-
cesses should be reduced so that additional effort could be put into INNOVATIVE
ideas for sources of water. Two sources to be added to the study are 1) South
Platte River Water and 2) Storage from Southwest Portland's pits.

It was requested that a final task report be prepared for each task as
appropriate.

The Towns requested that the consultants attend an "introductory" meeting with
each Town Board, primarily for face recognition purposes and an overview of the
study. These meetings are to take place as the study progresses, with each Town
scheduling with the consultants as they feel is appropriate. The Towns
felt that representatives of RMC should be present at Town meetings, with sub-
consultants optional.

Various options for water sources were discussed, including dual systems (not
economically feasible). It was suggested that the South Platte option not be a
lengthy study, but simply address its potential and problems for service; relate
it to Status Quo in terms of quality.

The Towns requested that focus be on options wherein the 6 Towns have control.
Also that newest treatment methods be considered (any new methods being
deve loped).

Since some of the Towns are under Health Department order to find a new source
of water, timing can be very important. Thus options that require change of use
