8. Number of records for each unit may be estimated as given
below:

a). Unit 91 holds one record for each input data
card.

b). Unit 92 temporarily holds cross section plots,
if requested. The number of records per plot is
a function of cross section geometry and requested
or computer selected scale. Typical cross sections
require approximately 150 records per plot. Thus
an estimate of NUMBER OF RECORDS = 150 * (number of
requested plots) * (number of profiles).

c). Unit 93 holds one record for each cross section
for plotting profiles.

d). Unit 94 holds one record for each comment card.

e). Units 91 through 94 and 96, if used by SUMPO, will
hold one 1 ine of output for each cross section
processed times the number of profiles, plus output
labels. Thus an estimate would be NUMBER OF RECORDS =
1.10 * (number of cross sections) * (number of
profiles) .

f). Unit 95 will hold one record for each cross section
times the number of profiles, plus some intializing
records. An estimate is NUMBER OF RECORDS = (4 at
front of data, 1 at end).

30
