<br />vehicles, heavy equipment, pUblic buildings and the Finance <br />Department for such things as price controls and rationing. <br /> <br />The plan includes operation of an emergency communication <br />system for emergency operations support. It provides for a <br />second dispatch radio at the high school and Water Department <br />garage. In addition, hand radios and car to car radios will be <br />utilized. At present the plan does not include agreements with <br />local media for coverage of a flash flood, but this is being <br />considered. <br /> <br />Manitou Springs' plan includes cooperative aid agreements <br />through EI Paso County Disaster Services and/or directly between <br />police, fire and water departments and corresponding departments <br />from neighboring communities. <br /> <br />Green Mountain Falls <br /> <br />At present Green Mountain Falls does not have a flash flood <br />warning system. Nor does the community have an emergency action <br />plan for use during a flash flood event. <br /> <br />In the case of a flash flood, the Fire Department or the <br />Fire Marshall receives the first warning. No specific <br />departments are utilized during a flash flood emergency. <br /> <br />In case of an emergency there are plans for utilizing and <br />dispersing the fOllowing resources: the Fire Department, twenty- <br />six volunteers, five fire trucks, dump trucks, back hoes and <br />bulldozers. <br /> <br />Emergency communication plans include contacting Woodland <br />Park and EI Paso County which in turn would activate the pUblic <br />and media communication networks. Media coverage of the flash <br />flood event would also be initiated after contact with Woodland <br />Park and EI Paso County. <br /> <br />Green Mountain Falls has cooperative aid agreements with <br />Woodland Park, Manitou Springs, EI Paso County, the State of <br />Colorado, and The National Forest Service. <br /> <br />Palmer Lake <br /> <br />At the present time Palmer Lake does not <br />action plan for handling a flash flood event. <br />being considered, but little is being done in <br />present.
