April 3, 1986 - Letter from City to FEMA outlining the <br />City's plan to respond to the February 20, 1986. 1 etter <br />requests. Specifically, the City indicated that no more <br />building permits would be issued in areas within the FIS <br />fl oodway . <br /> <br />6. July 15, 1986 - Letter from City to FEMA indicating <br />progress in responding to FEMA requests. <br /> <br />This study effort provides technical data to assist the City in <br />responding to the concerns of FEMA regarding items 5 and 6 of FEMA's <br />February 20, 1986, letter. Those concerns are: <br /> <br />a) Item 5 - identify structural measures to compensate for <br />lost flow conveyance due to fill in the floodway <br />at Riverwood Estates and provide the technical <br />data to support those measures. <br /> <br />b) Item 6 - deny building permits within the floodway zone <br />until the lost conveyance is restored and proof <br />is provided that there are no increases in the <br />base (IOO-year) flood elevations. <br /> <br />-7- <br />
