<br />Tongue Creek <br />Bell Creek <br />Short Draw <br />Roeber Reservoir <br />Seep Creek <br />Wise Creek <br />Smith Fork Creek <br /> <br />Reynolds Creek <br />Leroux Creek <br />Cottonwood Creek <br />Roubideau Creek <br />Buttermilk Creek <br />Crawford Reservoir <br />Peach Valley Creek <br /> <br />and other unnamed tributaries; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Delta County has requested the Colorado Water Con- <br />servation Board to designate and approve the floodplain areas as <br />set forth in the aforesaid report; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />1973, requires <br />the prevention <br /> <br />Section 37-60-106(1), Colorado Revised Statutes <br />the Colorado Water Conservation Board to assist in <br />of, floods and flood damages therefrom; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Sections 31-23-301 and 30-28-111, Colorado Revised <br />Statutes 1973, provide that such legislative bodies of local <br />jurisdictions may provide zoning regulations for land uses on or <br />along -anY storm or floodwater runoff channel or basin only after <br />designation and approval by the Colorado Water Conservation <br />Board; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Delta County officials have stated that they will <br />regulate the storm and floodwater runoff channels of Zone A areas <br />on a case-by-case basis ,subject to a detailed hydrologic and <br />hydraulic analysis by a professional engineer; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1)(c), Colorado Revised Statutes <br />1973, directs the Colorado Water Conservation Board to designate <br />and approve storm or floodwater runoff channels or basins and to <br />make such designations available to legislative bodies of local <br />jurisdictions; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the staff of the Board has reviewed said report and <br />does hereby recommend to the Colorado Water Conservation Board <br />that the Board designate and approve as floodplain areas those <br />areas inundated by a 100-year flood (intermediate regional flood) <br />as described by the floodwater surface elevations and profiles in <br />said report and designate and approve as storm or floodwater run- <br />off channels or basins those areas as delineated by Zone A in <br />said report. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Colorado Water Conser- <br />vation Board in regular meeting assembled in Denver, Colorado, <br />this 3rd day of November, 1983, that it does hereby designate and <br />approve as floodplain areas those areas described as being inun- <br />dated by a 100-year flood as described by the floodwater surface <br />elevations and profiles in said report; and <br /> <br />-2- <br />
