S. Corps of Engineers, Omaha District, <br />completed in January, 1966, for the Denver Metropolitan Region Flood <br />Plain Information Report Volume III, containing a Summary Report and <br />Technical Appendix, Bear. Creek and Clear Creek; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Colorado Water Conservation Board by resolution <br />adopted December 13, 1967, approved and designated the flood plains <br />described i~ said Volume III; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Colorado Water Conservation Board requested the <br />Corps of Engineers, Omaha District, to revise the January, 1966 Flood <br />) Plain Information Report, Volume III, insofar as it pertains to Bear <br />Creek because of urban development within the basin which has changed <br />the hydrologic and hydraulic characteristics within the Bear Creek <br />channel and because of additional hydrologic information obtained as <br />results of floods occurring subsequent to the preparation of the <br />original report which indicate that the design floods should be mate-. <br />rially increased; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the staff of the Board believes it is essential that <br />the same methodology and data used for the formulation of the Mount <br />Carbon Project study and flood plain information for Morrison, Colorado <br />be used for the development of flood plain information data for that <br />reach of Bear Creek extending from the Mount Carbon dambite to the ... <br />confluence of Bear Creek with the South Platte River; ahd <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Corps of Engineers, Omaha District, has now <br />completed a special flood hazard information report which revises the <br />previous flood plainJ,nfo:r:inatiol1 ref'()rt_.,=-()Y_~:lI}g_Ile.9J;" CreekL which. <br />revised report is dated December, 1972; and <br />V <br /> <br />WHEREAS,such revised flood plain information report has been <br />reviewed by the staff of the Board and ~he staff does hereby recommend <br />to the Colorado Water Conservation Board that said Board designate and <br />
