<br /> <br />1998 Flood Report <br />The CWCB's annual flood report, <br />which describes last year's flood <br />events that impacted our state, will <br />soon be published, And while 1998 <br />was a relatively quiet year as <br />compared to 1997, there were flood <br />events that impacted citizens across <br />Colorado, To obtain your free copy, <br />contact Mark MatuJik at <br />303-866-3441. <br /> <br />HMGP Projects <br />Continuing <br />Colorado's presidential disaster <br />declaration remains open, Under <br />the declaration, several flood hazard <br />mitigation projects are being <br />coordinated through the Hazard <br />Mitigation Grant Program (HMGP), <br />The HMGP was established as part <br />of the Robert T, Stafford Act of 1989, <br /> <br />v <br />~,' ~'" <br /> <br />Fifteen percent (15%) of Colorado's <br />federal disaster costs are earmarked <br />for mitigation activities that will <br />reduce future impacts from flooding, <br />Projects are underway or about to <br />begin in Fort Collins, Larimer <br />County, Sterling, Logan County, <br />Wiley and Canon City, For <br />additional information contact the <br />.
