<br />Facilitator's Checklist <br /> <br />Checklist <br /> <br />Before Exercise <br /> <br />o Obtain authorization from CAO, council, or other appropriate body. <br /> <br />o Set date and time, <br /> <br />o Reserve meeting room. <br /> <br />o Determine players and arrange with the CAO for them to participate, <br /> <br />o Invite observers, if desired. <br /> <br />o Arrange for slide projector and screen. <br /> <br />o Provide materials for map overlays, pens, push pins, and tape. <br /> <br />o Obtain copies of the jurisdiction base map and parcel maps, <br /> <br />o Assemble documents <br /> <br />o Assemble player packets. <br /> <br />o Study task scripts and instructions. <br /> <br />o Acquire local slides and make additions to the script. <br /> <br />o Place the slides in order in slide carousels. <br /> <br />During Exercise <br /> <br />o Use the script and slides to introduce the exercise and each task. <br /> <br />o Time the tasks and facilitate their timely completion. <br /> <br />o Answer questions and assist players with the tasks. <br /> <br />o Oversee creation of a list of high-priority actions to reduce flood risk. <br /> <br />After Exercise <br /> <br />o Continue to work with players on the high-priority actions to <br />reduce flood risk. <br /> <br />Facilitator's Instructions, page 8 <br />
