,

II for a description of the variables for both HEC-2 and GEDA. The graphics
program has now been given the additional capability of windowing on the
plotted data interactively by the use of cross hairs. The old option of
windowing based on user input from the key board has not been altered and
can still be used interactively or batch. Two new subroutines have been
added to the two graphics routines in which the reading and processing of
tape 95 have been performed. The subroutines read tape 95 and distinguish
between GEDA and HEC-2 tape 95 data. The subroutine added to the cross
section plotting routine also performed the function of plotting the
variable vs variable plot. The PLOT user input command has been added
because of the additional capability of being able to change both the x
and y axis plotting variables. It should be noted that the PLOT command
and other user input commands can be different depending on which of the
three routines you are using. Appendix I contains several example plots
and the input statements used to generate them. It is hoped, that instead
of a detailed written explanation of the user command options, actual
examples will serve better to demonstrate their use.

Figure 1 shows the three subroutines modules which makeup the Graphics
Pacakge and the subroutines that are in each module and how these subroutines
are combined into the two graphics packages. Figure 2 shows a rough flow
chart of how the Graphics Package operates.

3
