Wallace <br />Park, and responsible if soil is eroded or sod is removed from G.r1. <br />Wallace Park area as a result of the Contractor non-protection in that <br />area. <br /> <br />WATER CONTROL <br /> <br />This work shall include all water cont)'ol of whatsoever nature required <br />for any and all parts of the work. The Contractor will submit his <br />water control plan to the Engineel' for information and discussion <br />purposes prior to the start of construction. <br /> <br />Based on the composition of the existing channel mater'ials and the <br />results of the geotechnical investi~lation, it is anticipated that <br />dewatering may be required in some areas for excavation and structural <br />excavation. Additionally, any seepal)E' encountered in cut areas will <br />significantly increase the risk of slcpe instability and shall be the <br />responsibility of the Contractor. <br /> <br />The Contractor shall be responsible for all water control and dewatering <br />operation necessary for constructing the prOject in a dry condition as <br />deemed appropriate by the Engineer and these Specifications. Final <br />acceptance of water control and dewater'ing methods wi 11 be contingent <br />upon its operation. <br /> <br />Until final written acceptance of the project by the Engineer, the <br />Contractor shall have the charge and care thereof by the action of the <br />elements from any other cause, whether' ariSing from the execution or <br />from the nonexecution of the work. The Contractor shall take reasonable <br />measures to avoid all injuries: for' acceptance of work, and shall <br />rebuild, repair, restore , and make iJood all injuries for acceptance <br />and shall bear the expense. The Contractor shall note that this work <br />is being performed primarily within a c!rainageway, and that a flooding <br />potential, at any time, exists. <br /> <br />The Contractor shall assume full responsibilities for the protection of <br />his work and public from any and all flows, and to restore any damaged <br />area. The Contractor is advised tha': he is working in a drainage <br />channel SUbject to intermittent and extensive runoff conditions, such <br />that un1ess the construction area is properly protected, extensive soil <br />erosion may occur.
