DEFINITIONS <br /> <br />301,1 <br /> <br />301.2 <br /> <br />The following terms shall have the meanin'Js noted when used throughout the <br />Contract Documents. <br /> <br />Addendum <br /> <br />An order issued by the Engineer during the bidding process and before bid <br />opening changing the Contract Documents. <br /> <br />Appl ication for Payment <br /> <br />The Contractor's written request that he receive a portion of the Contract <br />Price for Work performed on the Project. See Section 306. <br /> <br />301.3 Bid <br /> <br />301.4 <br /> <br />301.5 <br /> <br />301.6 <br /> <br />301.7 <br /> <br />301.3 <br /> <br />An offer of a fixed dollar amount for which the person or entity submit- <br />ting the offer will perform all Work required of the Contt'actor under <br />the Contract Documents. <br /> <br />Bid de r <br /> <br />That person or entity submitting a Bid. <br /> <br />Certificate of Final Completion <br /> <br />The Engineer's certification to the Olvner that all Work on the Project <br />is complete. See 306 and 307. <br /> <br />Certificate of Substantial Completion <br /> <br />The Engineer's certification to the Owner and Contractor' that the <br />Project has been completed to a point that the Owner may make beneficial <br />use of it. Such a certificate may cover' all or a portion of the Project. <br />The Project may be substantially complete, even though minor l,ork or <br />corrections are necessary. <br /> <br />Change Order <br /> <br />An order signed by both the Owner and Contractor authorizing changes in <br />the Contract Time or Contract Price. See Section 316. <br /> <br />Con trac t <br /> <br />The entire agreement between the Owner and Contractor as embodied in and <br />comprised of the Contract Documents. <br /> <br />GC - 1 <br />
