<br />It is, therefore, concluded that some storm drainage collection facility <br />is needed to convey 5 to 10 year storm discharges through this area. <br />Also, Lake Yuma is found to be marginally sized to provide 100 year <br />flood detention if it were completely drained before the storm. Thus, <br />it is concluded that a facility is needed to drain Lake Yuma within <br />a period of about 48 hours after a major storm. <br />Similarly, drainage analysis of the 100 year flows into Legion <br />Pond and the Pheasant Ridge Ponds from Basin C2 indicate they are <br />marginally adequate to store the 100 year flood if a drain were provided. <br />The analysis shows that minor flooding is Basin C3 results from the <br />100 year storm behind the State Highway 59 (Detroit Street) embankment. <br />This suggests that a substantial drain be provided under this embankment. <br />Considerations must also be made of the effect these discharges will have <br />upon the main north-south airport runway. <br />In order to provide adequate information to design any remedial <br />facilities, hydrographs for each deSign point are provided in the appendix. <br /> <br />-17- <br />
