Memorandum
January 18, 1979
Page two

The extent of the areas tributary-area flooding
in addition to the lOa-year Cottonwood Creek flood elevations,
affecting site locations and others, indicates a discretionary
arrangement of area-sites will require existing terrain and
topographical information for conditions qualified as rep-
resenting located ground elevations. Such information for
drainage-runoff conditions, locating lOa-year flood
elevations, is required for the necessary measures of
safety locating particular site grading and structural limits
from flooding.

An indication of the area affected by Cottonwood
Creek and tributary-area flooding is noted by the terrain
and topographic 1975 conditions given by "Floodplain
Information" report, September 1976, for the pikes Peak
Area Council of Governments. These conditions given by the
reports maps with noted contour elevations includes the extent
of the creeks lOa-year flooding elevations (from about
station 140+00 to 153+00) that affects portions of the
subdivision areas sites.

EJVC:mw
