However, the Longment station <br />was considered co be representative of conditions in the study reach and <br />data from this station was used to present the following general climate <br />description. <br /> <br />The average annual precipitation at the Longmont station is approxi- <br />mately 12.8 inches. However, the potential for excessive rainfall from a <br />single thunderstorm is relatively high along the Front Range area. The <br />greatest precipitation from a single storm at Longmont was 4.04 inches <br />which occuned on May 9,1957.
