<br />DEFINITIONS
<br />
<br />consumer to contract for provision and operation
<br />by the county of sewerage facilities to abate or
<br />reduce pollution caused by discharge of the
<br />wastes of a consumer, and receive payment by the
<br />consumer; (30-.20-402)

<br />o enter into contracts and agreements wi th other
<br />counties and municipalities for or concerning the
<br />construction, acquisition, and financing of water
<br />and sewerage facilities, and maintenance and
<br />operation of facilities, and the parties may
<br />provide for cre,Hion of a new operating board or
<br />commission for the facilities; (30-20-402)

<br />Counties may also require connection by consumers to
<br />sewer systems and other public utilities before
<br />pavement of streets, and counties may assess the
<br />costs of connections if necessary. (30-20-416--418)
<br />
<br />Note that these definitions are particular for
<br />certain sets of statutes (usually a "part", such as
<br />Title I, article I, part I, which would be numbered
<br />1-1-101--199; part 2 would be 1-1-201 et seq.) and
<br />that the particular definition for any part may not
<br />have the same application in any other part.
<br />
<br />For part 3 of Title 30, article 20 (30-20-301 et
<br />seq. )
<br />
<br />"'Public project' means any lands. buildings,
<br />structures, works, machinery, equipment, or
<br />facilities suitable for and intended for use in
<br />promotion of the pUblic health, pUblic education.
<br />pUblic welfare, or the conservation of natural
<br />resources, including the planning of such lands,
<br />buildings, improvements, structures, works,
<br />machinery, equipment. or facilities, and shall also
<br />include existing lands, buildings, improvements,
<br />structures, works,. works, and facilities, as well as
<br />improvements, rennovations, or additions..."

<br />"Public purposes' includes, but is not limited to.
<br />the supplying of pUblic water services and
<br />facilities, pUblic sewer services and facilities,
<br />and lands, building, improvements, equipment, and
<br />facilities for pUblic education..." (30-20-301)

<br />"Sewerage facilitiHs means anyone or more of the
<br />various devices used in the collection of,
<br />treatment, or disposition of sewage or industrial
