<br />which has not previously been designated and approved by the Colorado Water Conservation <br />Board, as listed in Table 3, attached hereto and by this reference incorporated herein: <br /> <br />TABLE 3 <br /> <br />Aooroximate Floodolain Information Which Has Not Previouslv Been Desil!llated <br /> <br />The Gunnison River from a point approximately 4.9 ",iles upstream ofits confluence with the Colorado <br />upstream to the Mesa-Delta County line <br />; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the hydrologic information for the stream reaches included in Table I has <br />been derived directly from previously designated detailed floodplain information; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the hydrologic information for the stream reaches included in Tables 2 and <br />3 has been estimated utilizing detailed hydrologic information contained in previously designated <br />detailed floodplain information reports and approximate hydrologic information derived through <br />interpolation of the detailed information; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the estimation of 100-year peak flows for the stream reaches included in <br />Tables 2 and 3 is described in said new report; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Colorado Water Conservation Board is taking this action under the <br />provisions set forth in 2 CCR 408-1 Rule 9.D.2 (Board Initiative) and the City of Delta, the City <br />of Grand Junction, Delta County and Mesa County have been notified of the proposed action and <br />their comments have been considered in this resolution; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Delta, Delta County and Mesa County .have not requested the <br />Colorado Water Conservation board to rescind any of the detailed information contained in <br />Resolutions Nos. 79, 168, 222, 93-339 or 93-340; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1)(c), Colorado Revised Statutes, requires the Colorado <br />Water Conservation Board to assist in the prevention of floods and flood damages therefrom; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Sections 3 I -23-301 and 30-28-111, Colorado Revised Statutes, provide that <br />legislative bodies of local jurisdictions may provide zoning regulations for land uses on or along <br />any storm or floodwater runoff channel or basin only after designation and approval by the <br />Colorado Water Conservation Board; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1)(c), Colorado Revised Statutes, directs the Colorado <br />Water Conservation Board to designate and approve storm or floodwater runoff channels or <br />basins and to make such designations available to legislative bodies of local jurisdictions; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the information in said new report for the stream reaches listed in Tables I <br /> <br />5 <br />
