Ms. Provaznik graduated in the area of water resources with course work including
statistical hydrology, hydrologic modeling of small watersheds, hydrauli<: engineering, groundwalf,r
engineering, and sediment transport. She also assisted in water f1~sources research projects dealing
with hydrologic characteristics of small watersheds and issues concerning the Nebraska water usage
along the Platte River. Computer modeling experience includes: TR-20, TR-55, HEC-l, HEC-2,
HEC-6, HEC-RAS, CUHP-SWMM, SCSHYDRO, AGNPS, and HYDRAlN. The following
projects represent Ms. Provaznik' s experience:

Central Nebraska Public Power and Irrigati.on District, Depl1etion Mitigation Study. Project
Engineer for analyzing the mitigation opportunities along the CNPPID system. The project includes
locating potential storage sites for pump storage rest~rvoirs, concf~ptuallevel design for gravity fi II
and pump storage reservoirs, and groundwater mitigation options. Information :lTom the study will
be used for Phase II preliminary design for the most j~~asible options identified.

Rio Grande Decision Support System. Project Manager Assistant. The position is to repol1:
directly to the project manager of the Rio Grande De,cision Support System in the State Engineer's
Office. Tasks vary as the project progresses. The main current task involves creating a Visual Basic
6.0 program to compare well information from two separate databases for potential matches using
various queries, parameters, and levels of confidence.

Woodward Clyde Federal Services, Inc., Platte River EIS Studies. Project Engineer for the
development ofIand use impacts associated with thf: acquisition of habitat lands in the Platte River
basin. As part of the recently completed fiscal impact analysis, this involved conducting interviews
with resource agencies and non-profit agencies who currently manage habitat in the project area. As
part of these interviews, "before" and "after" estimates of land uses management costs, and
restoration costs of habitat lands were developed.

Fin-Feather Lake Embankment Stabilization Analysis. Staff engineer fiJr hydrologic and
hydraulic analysis of the Fin-Feather Lake Dam in Bryan, Texas. The dam has b<~en identified to be
in non-compliance with current dam safety criteria with respect to the hydraulic capacity of thf:
structure. The analysis included updating previous P~vlF determinations, IUnning HEC-l to simulate
the surface runoff response and develop elevation-discharge relationships.

Harlan Street Bridge, Westminster Colorado. Staff Engineer for hydrologic and hydraulic of
various potential crossings of Harlan Street owr Big Dry Creek. Project completed to conceptual
design and is proceeding to preliminary design.

1999 Ffood Documentation F-?eport
HDR Engin'gering, Ine

..--or%"
~y~,
~l~'?;\
.".~~)
\~~,,,,-1&/..'
''t_!~f~v
