In accordance with estal)lished State procedure, this report <br /> <br /> <br />has been referred to the Colorado Water Conservation Board for review and sub- <br /> <br />mission of connnents thereon. <br /> <br />.( <br />The report has been carefully reviewed by the staff of the Colorado Water <br /> <br />" ~ <br />Conservatiop Board and considered at a regular meeting of the Board held on <br /> <br />" <br /> <br />" <br /> <br />MBlf 5, 1952. The Board has authorized its Director to submit the following <br /> <br />comments: <br /> <br />The progr8lll reconmended in the survey report contemplates in general the <br /> <br />adoption of meallures on cultivated, range and forest areas, in the Fountain <br /> <br />River watershed, designed to rllduce and retard surface runoff, stabilize the <br /> <br />soil mantle, and check accelerated erosion. The measures are interdependent, <br /> <br />and ,8~ expected to reduce flood and sediment damages. The estimated total cost <br />ciurina; the il)St.a11ation period is $3,762,000. Of this amount, it is reconnnended <br /> <br /> <br />, <br /> <br />
