It is the policy of our firm not to submit <br />priced proposals for. competitive work. Ne firmly believe that <br />engineering consultants should be selected on their qualifications <br />to complete the work proposed. The Consulting F.nqineer's Council <br />of ColoradO, of which our firm is a member, has prepared a policy <br />statement of procuring special services. I have enclosed a copy <br />of this statement for consideration by the County prior to making <br />a selection of their consultant for the work proposed. <br /> <br />Our firm is weli qualified to undertake the flood plain delineation <br />work including the hydraulics and hydrologic investigations re- <br />quired of such work. Since the establishment of the Denver Area <br />Urban Dr.ainage & Flood Contr.ol District, our firm has been <br />involved in the drainage and flood control work of the District. <br />We completed the first Drainageway Master Plan for the Dis- <br />trict in 1972 on Sanderson and Weir Gulches in Denver and r,ake- <br />wood. Subsequent to that tiMe we have undertaken planning for <br />tl'lO other metropoli ta.n drainage'l'rays and he.vB also completed <br />final design of required drainageway improvements on both Sander- <br />son Gulch and Weir Gulch. <br /> <br />l~ <br />f <br /> <br />In addition to continuous involvement with the Urban Drainage <br />District, we have also been selected by the Federal Insurance <br />Administration to complete flood insurance studies within five <br />
