<br />WHEREAS, FEMA prepared a floodplain information report enlitled "Flood <br />Insurance Study, Larimer County, Colorado, Unincorporated Areas", revised July 17, 1997, <br />which did not include, except by reference, any floodplain information for Boxelder Creek, Coal <br />Creek, or the Big Thompson River, which study was designated and approved by the Colorado <br />Water Conservation Board by Resolution No. 99-481; and <br /> <br />STUDY TO BE OFFICIALLY ACTED UPON <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a new report entitled "FltJOd Insurance Study, Larimer County, Colorado, <br />Unincorporated Areas", revised March 23, 1999, has been prepared by the Federal Emergency <br />Management Agency; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said new report includes approximate floodplain information for the following <br /> <br />streams: <br /> <br />The Big Thompson River <br />Boxelder Creek, <br />Coal Creek <br />Indian Creek; <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said new report includes detailed floodplain information for the following <br /> <br />streams: <br /> <br />The Big Thompson River <br />Boxelder Creek, <br />Left Overbank Divided Flow of Boxelder Creek <br />Coal Creek <br />Indian Creek; <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said new report includes by reference detailed floodplain information for <br />various streams in unincorporated portions of Larimer County; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said new report includes detailed floodplain information for Coal Creek, us <br />listed in Table 2 below, which information is based on revised hydrologic and hydraulic data for Coal <br />Creek reflecting the effects of a flood control reservoir constructed by the USDA Soil Conservation <br />Service on Coal Creek upstream of the Town of Wellington and reflecting the effects of the Windsor <br />Ditch upstream of the Town of Wellington, which data was already included in Resolution No. 227 for <br />both incorporated areas of the Town of Wellington and unincorporated areas of Larimer County, and in <br />Resolution No. 99-486 for the Town of Wellington only, both previously designated and approved by <br />the Colorado Water Conservation Board; and <br /> <br />3 <br />
