item of material or equipment may be furnished or used by
Contractor if acceptable to Engineer, application for such ac-
ceptance ,,:iIJ nOI be considere'd by Engineer until after the
"effective date of the Agreement". The procedure for submit-
tal of any such application by Contractor and consideration
by Engineer is set forth in paragraphs 6.7, 6.7.1 and 6.7.2 of
the General Conditions which may be supplemented in the
General Requirements.

10. Subconlractors, etc.

10.1. ! f the Supplementary Conditions require the identity
of (ertain Subcontractors and other persons and organiza-
tions to be subrnilted to Owner in advance of the Notice of
Award. the apparent Successful Bidder, and any other
Bidder ~,o requested, will within seven days after the day of
the Bid Jpening submit to Owner a list of all Subcontractors
and other persons and organizations (including those who
are to fL rnish the principal items of material and equipmenO
proposc:f for those portions of the Work as to which such
identificalion is so required. Such list shall be accompanied
by an experience statement with pertinent information as [0
similar projects and other evidence of qualification for each
such Subcontractor. person and organization if requested by
Owner. I f Owner or E"ngineer after due investigation h<ls
rea<;onallle objection 10 any proposed Subcontractor. olher
person cr organization, either may before giving the Notice
of Award request the apparent Successful Bidder to submit
an accertable substilule without an increase in Bid price. If
the arpenent Successful Bidder declines to make any such
substifution, the contract shall not be awarded to such Bid-
der, bUI his declining 10 make any such substitution will not
constitute grounds for sacrificing his Bid Security. Any Sub-
contractor, other person or organization so listed and to
whom Owner or Engineer doe:; not make written objection
prior!O the giving of Ihe NotiCe" of Award will be deemed a~-
ceptable to Owner and Engineer.

10.2. in contracts where the Contract Price is on the basis
of Cosl-of-the-Work Plus a Fee, the apparent Successful
Bidder. prior 10 the Notice of Award, shall identify in writ-
ing to O',\,ner those portions of the Work that such Bidder
proposes to subcontract and after the Notice of Award may
only subcontract other portions of the Work with Owner's
wrillen CI)nsent,

contractcr. other person or organization against whom he
has reasonable objection.

II. Bid Form,

11.1. The Bid Form is atlach,~d hereto; additional copies
may be ohtained from Engineer.

11.2. Bid Forms must be completed in ink or by type.

in words and numerals; in case of a conflict, words will take
precedence.

11.3. BiJs by corporations must be executed in lhc cor-

12. Submission of Bids.

Bids shall be submitted at ihe time and. place indicated in !h(:

13. Modification and Wilhdrawal of' Bids.
13.1. Bids may be' modified or withdrawn by an appropri~
ate document duly executed {in the manner (hat a Bid must
be executed) and ddivered to the place where Bids are to be
submiued at any time prior (0 the opening of Bids.
13.2. If, within twenty-four hours after Bids are opened,
