WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1)(c), Colorado Revised
Statutes. directs the Colotado Water Conservation Board to
designate and approve storm or floodwater runoff channels or
basins and to make such designations available to legislative
bodies of local jurisdictions; and

WHEREAS. the staff of the Board has reviewed said new
report and does hereby recommend to the Colorado Water
Conservation Board that the Board designate and approve as
floodplain areas those areas inundated by a lOO-year flood
(intermediate regional flood) as described by the floodwater
surface elevations and profiles in said new report;

NOW, THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED by the Colorado Water
Conservation Board in reg~lar meeting assembled in Grand
Junction, Colorado. this4tb day of September. 1986. that it
does hereby designate and approve as floodplain areas those
areas described as being ~nundated by a lOO-Year flood as
described by the floodwater surface elevations and profiles in
said Federal Emergency Management Agency report; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED t:hat the Secretary of the Board is
directed to send a certified copy of this resolution to the
City of Walsenburg; the Huerfano County Board of Commissioners;
the Federal Emergency Mana~ement AgencY; and the U.S. Army
Corps of Engineers, Albuquerque District.
