<br /> <br />WHEREAS, CWCB staff is aware that a number of floodplain revisions are needed within the <br />City of Rifle to ensure that accurate information is available for floodplain management and flood <br />insurance purposes. <br /> <br />DESIGNATION AND APPROVAL ACTION <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Colorado Water Conservation Board in <br />regular meeting assembled in Cortez, Colorado, this 24th day of September 2001, that it does hereby <br />acknowledge and rescind as detailed and approximate floodplain information said 100-year floodplain <br />delineations within the incorporated areas of the City of Rifle contained in said report entitled "Flood <br />Insurance Study, City of Rifle, Colorado" dated December 1982 by the Federal Emergency <br />Management Agency; and <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Colorado Water Conservation Board that the floodplain <br />information found in the 1986 Flood Insurance Study for the City of Rifle (CWCB floodplain <br />resolution # 245) is the current and effective regulatory floodplain map for Rifle; and <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Colorado Water Conservation Board that the City of <br />Rifle is in need of updated and revised floodplain mapping throughout portions of the community and <br />therefore the CWCB will include the City of Rifle on the Colorado floodplain mapping priorities list; <br />and <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Board is directed to send a certified <br />copy of this resolution to the City of Rifle and the Federal Emergency Management Agency Region 8. <br /> <br />CER TIFICA TE <br /> <br />I certify that the foregoing is a true and correct copy of a resolution adopted by a mqiority vote of the <br />members of the Colorado Water Conservation Board in regular session assembled at Cortez, Colorado <br />on the 24th day of September 2001, at which a quorum was present. <br /> <br /> <br />lJecL <br /> <br />Rod Kuharich, Director <br /> <br />res-55Q,doc twb <br /> <br />3 I <br />J <br />
