2 .

The majority of the Special Flood Hazard Area (SFHA) is decreasing; however,
there are several areas where the SFHA increases. The BFE and SFHA increases
are not contained on the community's property, but property owners have been
notified of the changes through public meetings held on August 7, 1991, and
March 24, 1992.

The modifications are shown on the enclosed annotated copies of FIRM Panel
0120 E and Profile Panels 359P through 363P. This LOMR hereby revises Pane 1
0120 E of the effective FIRM and incorporates newly generated Profile Panels
359P through 363P of the effective FIS report dated May 3, 1990.

The following table is a partial listing of existing and modified BFEs:

Location

Existing BFE
(feet)

Modified BFE
(feet)

220 feet upstream of Edgewood Drive
80 feet downstream of Kalmia Avenue
At intersection of 13th Street and
Hawthorne Avenue
520 feet upstream of Lakebriar Drive

*5,321
*5,508

*5,321
*5,510

fl1
*5,636

*5,427
*5,635

*Referenced to National Geodetic Vertical Datum, rounded to the nearest whole
foot

flDepth in feet, referenced to National Geodetic Vertical Datum, rounded to
the nearest whole foot

Public notification of the revised BFEs for the preliminary Boulder County,
Colorado and Incorporated Areas maps was given in the Dailv Camera on
February 21 and February 28, 1994. A copy of this notification is enclosed.
Within 90 days of the second publication in the local newspaper, a citizen
may request that the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) reconsider
the determination made by this LOMR. Any request for reconsideration must be
based on scientific or technical data. In addition, a notice of changes will
be published in the Federal Register. We encourage you to supplement this
notification by preparing an article for publication in your community
newspaper. This article should describe the changes that have been made and
the assistance your community will give in providing data and interpreting
the NFIP maps. Because this LOMR will not be printed and distributed to
users such as insurance agents and lenders, your community will serve as a
repository for the new data.

The map as listed above and as revised by this letter will be used for all
flood insurance policies and renewals issued for your community.
