52

.

Columns 14-23: Elevation (ft) (FlO.2)
Column 71: C (last discharge card indicator) 15
Column 80: Card Type = 4
The last one of the discharge-elevation cards is indicated by any
nonzero number in Column 71. Discharge-elevation cards only

need to be provided at the start of the data or where stream

discharge changes. Starting elevations may either be obtained

from field data or computed from the uniform flow equation.

.

.

.

Output
Output provides a table of sectional properties, generated by
Part 1, and a table of flow information for each station. When energy
conditions have been caiculated by the Standard Step Method, output
shows surface elevation, discharge, velocity head, friction loss in the

reach, eddy loss in the reach, average velocity, total head, accuracy

of solution, Froude number and Mannings "n" that was used. Where energy

levels have been computed from sectional properties, a message

indicating this precedes the energy information. Values for eddy loss

and head loss are listed as zero, since each is indeterminate by the

method of calculation.

A program listing, program variables list, sample input and

outputs, together with plots of cross-sections and profiles at stations

listed on the sample outputs, are shown in Appendices B through E.

.
