<br />Work Elements 2 and 5. The Town of Estes Park held a <br />Public Hearing on October 26, 1982 for a Community <br />Development Block Grant administered by the Colorado <br />Department of Local Affai.rs in the ,amount of $400,000. <br />Funds would be applied to convert floodplain land to open <br />space in those locations where heavily damaged structures <br />were removed, The Federal Emergency Management Agency <br />through the National Flood Insurance program has indicated <br />they will purchase the villagE!r Motel property and deed the <br />land to the Town of Estes Park for Open Space. <br /> <br />Work Element 3. Acquisition of flood damaged properties <br />under Section 1362 of the National Flood Insurance program <br />is underway with the pose ible acquisition of the following <br />properties: <br /> <br />1. Peacock Ltd. ............$150,000 <br />2. Villager Motel.......... 220,000 <br />3. Hite Property.........,. 90.000 <br />TI60,000 <br /> <br />Work Element 4. It wc,s not feas ible to <br />entrance road to Fall Ri.vE!r Mobile Home <br />to high costs of land acquisition. <br /> <br />relocate <br />Village <br /> <br />the <br />due <br /> <br />E. Other Hazard Mitigation MeasUlces <br /> <br />1, Reconstruction money will be used to complement the <br />overall Estes Park ComprehE!nsive Plan, <br /> <br />2. Soil Conservation Service met with Estes Park Officials <br />on October 4, 1982 tc, discuss channel restoration and <br />bank stabilization.
