We were not able to enter the basement, however, it
appears that the basement footing adjacent to the flume is approx-
imately .0.5 feet below the flowline of the existing flume on the
east end and approximately 1.5 feet above the existing flow line
on the west end.

~

Structure No. 5P - (Sta. 11 + 37): This structure is a rather
large one-story, wood frame motel in good condition, The struc-
ture rests upon a shallow concrete step footing with concrete stem
walls along the perimeter and appears to have some interior column
footings. Very minor cracking was noted along the north stem
wall, The building has a suspended wood floor and crawl space
along the east end, and a full slab-on-grade basement at the west
end. Footing depth appears to be near the middle of the existing
flume wall on the east end and below the bottom of the existing
flume in the basement area. Wall loads are assumed to be less
than 10 kIf. The north wall footing is located approximately 9
feet from the wall of the existing flume at the closest point,

Structure No. 6P - (Sta 8 + 94): This structure is a large single
story wood frame motel that has been newly remodeled. The struc-
ture rests upon a shallow concrete and stone spread footing with
concrete and stone stem walls, A fairly new concrete wall has
been placed adjacent to the stem wall along the eastern of the
building, probably for lateral support. The building has a full
slab-on-grade basement. Footing depth appears to be approximately
2 feet below the flow line of the existing flume on the east end
and approximately 2 feet below the flow line of the existing flume
on the east end and approximately 2 feet above the flow line of
the existing flume on the west end. Some deterioration and crack-

-8-
