The concrete slab adjacent to the south end of
the building is close enough to the proposed alignment that it may
require some support.

Structure No. 9P - (Sta. 2 + 65): No temporary support should be
required for this structure due to its distance from the new pro-
posed alignment.

Structure No. lOP - (Sta. 1 + 95) and Structure No, lIP - (Sta. 1
+ 50): It appears from the proposed alignment that the new flume
will be located from 20 to 15 feet north of the existing alignment
at these locations. Based on this information, it does not appear
that temporary support will be require for either of these struc-
tures due to their distance from the proposed alignment.

End-Product Specificaions: The following items relating to tem-
porary support and/or permanent underpinning systems are offered
for possible addition to the project documents:

1. It is anticipated that all structures indicated will
require some type of foundation support during construc-
tion. Some of these structures will reqUire
permanent underpinning as determined by the engineer dur-
ing construction,

2. The contractor will submit a design for a temporary sup-
port and/or permanent underpinning system for each indi-
cated structure for review and possible modification by
the engineer prior to construction.

-13-
